Year 2 - Climbing the Monument

Yesterday Year 2 went to visit Pudding Lane and climb the Monument to the Great Fire of London. Every single child managed to conquer any fear of heights to reach the very top of the Monument and see the amazing panoramic views of London.

What was it like to climb the Monument?
How did you feel when you reached the top?

  7. It was really really fun to climb the Monument because it has lots of steps and I love steps! When we got up the 311 steps we saw a beautiful view of London! The places I saw were the Shard,St Paul’s Cathedral and houses with gardens on their roofs. I loved it on the top of the Monument because I loved sightseeing. I was really really really excited to climb the Monument until I found out that there was 311 steps.
