Year 2 - Chinese Food

This afternoon Year 2 are going to be making and then eating some Chinese food. They will even be taking some delicious tasters of their food to Year 1 who are also learning about China. 

Here's what Zyanna thinks about this: 
"I think it's going to take a bit of time to cook but I really am looking forward to eating it. The only things is that the chop sticks are different to what we use in England. We just use a knife and fork. Because we have never been to China it is really tricky to practice."

What Chinese food have you eaten with chopsticks before?


  1. Stir fry. The noodles we eat with chop sticks. You need lots of ingredients and then you cook it.

  2. We ate spring rolls and crackers, prawn crackers and we had the plum dip and more spring rolls. With noodles it can get a bit hot, when I ate it it was hot. It tasted nice.

  3. We practiced picking up blocks, cube blocks. It was so hard, it kept on dropping. One time though I picked up three at the same time. I am getting better at it.

  4. I had not eaten with chop sticks before. I do not come from China. I come from Jamaica!

    I have eaten noodles with chop sticks and China rolls.
